Prof. Xu Xiao received his BS degree in Physics and PhD degree in Physical Electronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology under the guidance of Prof. Jun Zhou in 2011 and 2016, respectively. In 2016, he joined A. J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute and Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University as a Postdoctoral Researcher under the guidance of Prof. Yury Gogotsi. Currently, he is a Professor in theState Key Laboratory of Electronic Thin Film andIntegrated Devices, andSchool of Physics atUniversity of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He was selected as Top 2% scientist in all discipline around the world in 2020-2024, and Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate) in 2022. He has published more than 70 papers in top journals including Nature Photonics,Nature Commun.,Chem. Soc. Rev., Adv. Mater., JACS, ACS Nano, Angew. Chem. and so on, with 12000+ citation times.His research focuses on synthesis of two-dimensional transition metal oxides, nitrides and carbides, and their applications in Terahertz/millimeter wave, flexible electronics, and energy storages.
